Little Pants, Big Heart
I saw you on the tele-tube,
I knew you ate the yummy food,
I saw you lost weight and looked good,
You did and so could I dude.
You went from thick and then to thin,
You walked all over and walked right in,
To my heart and to my den,
And gave me thoughts akin with sin,
I lost some weight, not as much anyhow,
Such hope you gave this little cow,
Your curtain has fallen so take a bow,
You’re eating fresh with angels now,
Amanda J. – Hartford, CT
Bye Coo’
You made me believe,
I followed your lead, okay, Now I just bereave.
Winnie L. – Southampton, NY
Limerick a la Indianapolis
There once was a man from Illinois,
Who was quite a corpulent boy,
His sub was meatballs,
His health took a fall,
But convinced Christians he was a goy.

Farewell Sandwich Hero
You did
So much
For me
I’ll never forget your words of wisdom.
You made
The greatest
Impact
In my life, and for that I’ll never forget you, even should your picture fade on the back wall.
You imparted,
Such wisdom
Now I know what it’s like to live
Through you I’ve got a life of my own to live. You may be gone but you’ll never be forgotten
You are my 12" hero, sometimes with mayo dripping from the tips.
Marcus T. Fairhaven, CT
Submit your poems too. Grieving isn’t a lake in Minnesota, it’s a process, but we can go through it together.
